Joseph Largé (Roger Bell)

Hi, I'm Joe – playing Roger Bell in the movie – a part I thoroughly enjoyed.

A little about me: I'm 5' 4", 60 yrs. old and love acting. Ever since they were little, our kids and I would act and play acting games around the house, dashing around singing Gilbert and Sullivan at the top of our lungs - it was GREAT fun. I got hooked on Theater back in 2000 which continues to this day. I do a GREAT "insanity" bit, but my best talent is at playing "Deer caught in headlights" which I do quite naturally. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy our movie. Joe

Jason Bortz (John Black) began acting at nine years old. By the time he graduated from South Eugene High School in Eugene, OR, he had performed or crewed in over two dozen plays and commercials. In Seattle, he trained with director/producer John Jacobsen of Seattle’s prestigious “The Film School” and was a core member of the Seatlle Int’l Film Festival’s “Cinema Co-Op Screenplay Series”, where he workshopped scripts with the likes of Tom Skerritt, Peter Horton and D.B. Sweeney.

From there, he moved to New York City and received training at the National Shakespeare Conservatory before moving to Los Angeles, where he worked as an acting coach to continue his pursuit of film, landing principle roles in the Sundance Golden Circle selection "Slaves to the Underground," the Lionsgate release "Fugitive Hunter" and most recently "The Bill Collector." His experiences as a lifelong actor have been invaluable as a writer/director; Jason has filmed over a dozen short films, several of them award-winners on the festival circuit, including a

documentary on the AIDS pandemic in Kenya.

As a screenwriter, he has optioned two feature film scripts and is currently in the final stages of development before heading into pre-production on his first full length feature. In the Sacramento community, he was a founding member of the Capital Film Arts Alliance, has instructed at the Art Institute of Sacramento, El Dorado Performing Arts Institute, and Rocklin Youth Theatre. He has been seen numerous times as a Consultant on Sacramento’s “Good Day Sacramento” morning show, and coaches acting privately at his home in Roseville, CA, where he lives with his wife Jennifer, his son Caleb and daughter Clarity. He is represented by the Silver/Bitela Agency;

He discovered the world of film a little over 3 years ago and has been doing as much film work as he can ever since. West is glad to be a part of The Bill Collector.

Hamblin Peiters (Joe Bennett)

Hamblin began his acting career in grade school. As a member of the "Old Town Troopers" in Auburn, California in the early 80's, 'Ham' as they call him, quickly learned how to be bigger than life - more than real - and as flaky as a croissant. Being closely related to the Producer/Director of The Bill Collector gave Hamblin a distinct advantage in getting this crucial role in the film. It also helped that no one else applied for the part.

She worked as a Visual Arts Coordinator for the city of Eugene, with Oregon Public Broadcasting, community theater, and a variety of independent filmmakers. Over the years Heidi has had the privilege of working on numerous stage productions handling other visual aspects including lighting, set design and costumes.
